Director of Finance and Accounting Search at StevenDouglas A rapidly growing, multi-entity organization is seeking an Assistant Corporate Controller to support enterprise-wide accounting operations and financial reporting. This leader will help drive accuracy in consolidated financials, ensure adherence to accounting standards, and contribute to strategic planning. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, hands‑on leadership, and experience operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. Report to a great Controller and play a key role in the future of the organization!

Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Support multi‑entity consolidations, including intercompany eliminations.

Assist with foreign currency accounting, revaluations, and related reporting.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors, preparing required documentation and audit schedules.

Accounting Operations

Oversee general ledger integrity, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and internal accounting policies.

Support enhancements and future implementation of ERP/financial systems.

Assist with treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

Collaborate with FP&A to support annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

Deliver variance analysis and insights for executive leadership.

Internal Controls & Compliance

Strengthen internal control frameworks and financial processes.

Assist with tax compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.

Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.

Partner with departments such as Operations, HR, and IT to enhance financial systems and processes.

Background Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred).

6-12 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a multi‑entity or growth‑focused organization.

2+ years of prior or current public accounting experience

Strong technical knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, consolidations, and internal controls.

Experience with modern ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Dynamics, Sage, etc.).

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑growth environment.

Financial services industry experience highly preferred
