Overview

Canvas Property Group is looking for an Assistant Property Manager with 3+ years of experience. This candidate will support in all aspects of operating a property or portfolio of properties (lease renewals or vacancy leasing experience a strong plus). The Assistant Property Manager will report directly to the Senior Property Manager while having direct communication with Ownership and Partners. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Support or manage day-to-day property operations including all tenant relations. Supervise and lead all building staff including leasing, maintenance, and administration personnel. Oversee preventative maintenance programs, capital projects and approval of vendor contracts. Track and clear violations and implement corrective measures (including but not limited to DOB, ECB, FDNY, and HPD violations). Monitor building compliance and submission of all required documentation. Conduct tenant move-in/move-out inspections. Perform routine building inspections to ensure assets are in compliance with applicable local city laws and codes. Execute and negotiate tenant lease renewals. Process and supervise completion of all work orders; coordinate access with tenants and staff. Prepare written correspondences to tenants and mediate discussions with new and existing residents. Oversee all payables/invoices and vendor relationships. Review, prepare, and understand budget and P&L analysis to influence performance of a property. Key Attributes / Experience

Minimum of 3 years of New York City multifamily property management experience. Candidate must be experienced with NYC real estate and its relevant compliance including local laws. Self-starter with strong work ethic; ability to work independently as part of a larger team. Excellent customer service and follow-up skills. Highly motivated, project oriented, results-driven, problem solver. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office. Experience with Yardi Voyager strongly preferred. Licensed NY Real Estate Salesperson a plus. Bachelor’s degree Compensation
