A Senior Tax Manager works closely with partners, staff, and clients and is responsible for planning, managing, reviewing, and completing client engagements. FD is looking for a motivated individual that will become an integral part of the firm and serve as a leader in the office. Our professionals aim to minimize tax liability while ensuring compliance with changing tax laws. In addition to consulting and compliance tax services, we offer stock option planning and international tax advice, and provide expert consultation on investments, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and liquidations. Duties/Responsibilities
Manage and review complex corporate tax returns, including consolidated filings and multi-state entities. Understand client business needs, identify and analyze tax issues, and clearly articulate relevant tax issues, applicable authority, and conclusions. Lead tax engagements from start to finish, including planning, budgeting and monitoring fees, execution, and delivery. Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and understanding their business needs. Ensure timely and accurate filing of client tax returns, meeting all regulatory deadlines. Review work performed by team members, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality and accuracy. Demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including interpreting complex tax laws and regulations. Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in Accounting. Active CPA license. 8+ years of Corporate Tax experience in public accounting. Experience advising on M&A structuring, tax due diligence and ASC 740 compliance (preferred). Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and Microsoft Office Suite. Proven expertise in overseeing complex client engagements and delivering high-quality client service. Ability to develop tax planning strategies for clients. Experience supervising, training, developing, and reviewing the work of staff and senior associates. • hybrid
