Full-time Job Description
We are currently seeking a Financial Policy Analyst (Senior) to join a team in Northern Virginia supporting a government customer. The candidate will lead and serve as a team member supporting the Comptroller Office in the Financial Management Directorate, assisting with audit remediation, and supporting government meetings. Duties include:
Providing support in developing policies, procedures, and business process improvements related to financial management and audit remediation. Leading a team of contract support staff. Developing staff packages and supporting materials. Preparing and delivering briefings to NGA, FM, and oversight agency senior leadership. Developing NGA policies within the governance framework related to accounting, budgeting, fiscal law, and travel. Managing agency coordination of draft financial policies. Vetting policies from other NGA directorates for compliance. Providing financial policy guidance and interpretation to NGA Components. Utilizing office tools for documentation and tracking of fiscal issues. Administering support agreements to ensure compliance and documentation. Advising NGA Components on fiscal matters. Editing documents for accuracy and consistency. Engaging NGA Components to develop and review policies supporting audit readiness. Collaborating with the NGA Corporate Policy Office for policy drafting and revisions. Job Requirements
Skills and Experience: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or equivalent experience. At least 10 years of experience in federal financial management roles. Experience in developing financial policies and procedures. Recent experience supporting Momentum-based financial systems. Desired: CPA or CGFM certification. Experience with DoD or IC financial processes and systems. Experience with appropriations law and the Anti-deficiency Act. Experience reviewing interagency support agreements. Work, Physical and Mental Requirements:
