Mansfield Energy . Hybrid work environment: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Responsibilities
Develop and manage energy accounting processes, policies, procedures, and internal controls for natural gas and power accounting activities. Calculate gross margins, revenues, and cost to acquire for natural gas and power products. Manage the settlements process, effectively handling utility data and reconciling internal data with ISO/plant data to ensure accurate delivered energy trades, settlement, and invoicing. Actualize all gas and power volumes, tracking invoicing of revenues, payment of purchases, and net settlements. Understand contractual language, contract-associated risk, and opportunities. Improve margin review process by driving, recommending, and implementing positive change to the modeling tool and processes. Support energy accounting remodeling, including “what if” impact scenarios of renegotiation alternatives. Reconcile internal data on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy of margin management and reconciliation accounts required, including imbalance accounts. Generate and coordinate journal entries and reconciliations for month‑end energy accounting processes for both natural gas and power products. Create and analyze balance sheet and profit and loss statements, comparing monthly and seasonal fluctuations (volume and amounts) to prior months, budgets, and estimates to actuals. Support additional reporting and processes under the Controller, such as monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a business-related area required. MBA and/or CPA a plus. Experience
Minimum 5 years’ progressive accounting role; retail/wholesale energy experience highly preferred. Strong accounting background with clear understanding and practical application of accounting principles. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and network applications. Qualifications & Characteristics

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Strong team and customer service orientation. Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic.
