Accounts Receivable Specialist

Salary/Hourly Rate $23/hr - $30/hr

Position Overview The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate records of accounts, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role is critical to the financial health of the organization and requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.

Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.

Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.

Communicate with clients regarding billing issues and resolve disputes.

Prepare aging reports and assist with month-end close processes.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure billing accuracy.

Support audits and provide necessary documentation.

Recommend improvements to AR processes and procedures.

Required Experience/Skills

2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of basic accounting principles and collections practices.

Education Requirements

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Bachelor's degree preferred.
