Assistant Property Manager – Camden County, NJ
Base pay range: $50,000 – $60,000 per year.
This property manager reports directly to the Senior Property Manager and is responsible for maintaining occupancy, tenant relations, and property operations.
Key Responsibilities
Complete regular and special reports as directed by Senior Property Manager.
Inspect units, common areas, and exteriors to ensure maintenance and tenant adherence to lease requirements.
Collect rents, accurately batch, and enter data into property management software.
Address late and delinquent rent with written notices, direct communication with tenants, and eviction proceedings.
Assist in preparing legal filing notices for Senior Manager.
Handle move‑in and move‑out inspections and maintain detailed written records for repairs.
Report vacancy status and ready dates to Senior Manager.
Report accidents and emergency situations to Senior Manager.
Ensure physical attendance and travel to properties as required.
Address lease violations including damages, waste disposal, pet policies, and other violations.
Oversee unit turns for move‑in and move‑out to ensure units are suitable for occupancy.
Maintain sites at full occupancy and keep all units in accordance with local and state regulations, including housekeeping.
Experience & Requirements
Minimum 1–3+ years of experience in the multifamily housing industry.
Prior assistant property manager, leasing, or customer service experience helpful.
Experience with Yardi, RealPage, and OneSite.
Prior office support/clerical experience and the ability to keep accurate records.
Regular in‑person attendance, 40 hrs weekly Monday through Friday.
