Purpose of your Job
As a Junior Business Controller, you will support Coriolis’ financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities, ensuring accurate and timely insights that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Business Controller and cross-functional teams, contributing to budgets and forecasts, monitoring key performance indicators, and helping improve project profitability. You will play a key role in optimizing financial processes, maintaining data integrity, and supporting the continuous improvement of our business operations. Financial Planning & Analysis Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities. Help track key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight variances. Contribute to project cost reviews, margin analysis, and profitability assessments. Reporting & Insights Support the preparation of management reports and presentations for internal stakeholders. Maintain and update financial models, dashboards, and databases. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making. Process Optimization & Controls Assist in improving financial processes and ensuring data accuracy. Support compliance monitoring and internal audit preparation. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with teams such as R&D, Operations, and HR to gather financial data and understand business drivers. Participate in cross-functional projects to improve cost efficiency and resource allocation. Additional Tasks Support the integration of new tools and systems (e.g., ERP upgrades, BI tools). Assist in preparing business cases and investment proposals. Contribute to sustainability and ESG-related financial reporting. Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance financial literacy across the organization. Initiative application
What you need to succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (CPA, CMA) are a plus Some practical experience in financial analysis, controlling, or accounting (e.g., internship or working student role) preferred Strong Excel skills and basic knowledge of data analysis or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) beneficial Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage Understanding of fundamental financial principles and willingness to learn industry-specific regulation trends Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a willingness to learn Very good communication skills in German and English, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team Structured and organized working style Invest in yourself
