Salt Lake City, Utah, United States The Risk Division manages the firm's credit, market, liquidity, operational, and insurance risks. The team assesses creditworthiness, monitors market risks, and provides analytical and regulatory compliance support, contributing directly to the firm's success. The division is suited for collaborative individuals with strong ethics and attention to detail. Department Overview: Credit Risk (CR) manages the firm's credit exposure to trading and lending counterparties. With over 270 professionals across 12 global offices, CR professionals gain diverse financial experience and a broad perspective on firm operations. The role involves collaboration across departments and a variety of projects, offering a challenging and dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Assess the financial strength of hedge funds through fundamental counterparty analysis, including interpretation of risk reports, portfolio analysis, and client calls. Evaluate derivatives and financing transactions within Global Banking & Markets, reviewing and approving risks in a fast-paced setting while ensuring mitigation measures are in place. Conduct counterparty reviews, assign internal risk ratings, and set credit limits. Basic Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in finance, markets, or risk roles. Knowledge of capital markets, derivatives, and/or repo. Proven ability to make independent decisions. Strong attention to detail, analytical, and communication skills. Understanding of financial markets and risk management techniques. Ability to build trust with clients, identify needs, and manage expectations. Team player, works well under pressure, collaborates effectively. Clear communication skills, proactive information sharing, appropriate escalation.
