Senior Corporate Accountant (Real Estate)

Overview:
A nationally recognized real estate and asset management firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. This role offers exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and general ledger management across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for process improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Perform month-end billing and revenue review Prepare and monitor recurring and non-recurring journal entries Maintain accurate general ledgers in accordance with GAAP Assist with quarterly financial statement preparation and consolidation Research and document unique accounting treatments Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts Develop spreadsheets for account analysis and journal entries Create and distribute reports to senior management Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and timeliness Support annual audits and compile audit schedules Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and controls Participate in special projects as needed Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business software applications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
