Evernorth’s Digital & Analytics unit offers innovative solutions that provide actionable insights to internal and external business partners and customers that help reduce health costs, improve outcomes, provide financial security and measure/forecast business performance. The Value Based Care (VBC) Design Analytics team, within the Analytics & Data Science vertical, works with its business stakeholders to drive the vision and delivery of solutions to maximize healthcare affordability through value-based population health and specialty referral initiatives. This role will be responsible for conducting advanced analytics and research activities in efforts to design and develop VBC programs and make recommendations supporting affordability initiatives. This individual will work independently and collaboratively with key technical and non-technical matrix partners within organization. Responsibilities

Perform exploratory and advanced analytics to answer “what happened?” Conduct root cause statistical analyses to answer “why did this happen?” Mine data to answer “where are the opportunities?” Deploy innovative value-based solutions to answer “how can we improve affordability and quality of care?” Demonstrate a strong desire to learn new techniques and solve problems Collaborate and work closely with stakeholders to design and evaluate Value Based Payment programs, including hospital and physician Accountable Care Organization (ACO) programs, Episodes of Care/Bundle programs, Nephrology, Oncology Medical Home, etc. Apply robust statistical and clinical rigor using techniques such as risk adjustment, episode analytics, statistical modeling, power analysis, and matched case control studies Build financial models for new VBC programs and manage annual reconciliations for pilot programs Derive actionable insights from healthcare data (claims, clinical, pharmacy, externally sourced) to engage and enable provider/clinical partners Collaborate with engineering partners to deploy actionable insights into accessible solutions for provider/clinical partners Present analytic findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical business partners and leadership to drive data-driven strategies Explore innovative solutions to business questions and problems Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Outcomes Research, Actuarial Science, or Data Science At least 5+ years of experience in related healthcare analytics or value-based care research Experience with extracting, transposing, and analyzing Big Data housed in Databricks, Teradata, and Hadoop using SQL and SAS/R/Python; output through advanced visualization tools including Tableau, R, or Python Understanding of modular code design and variable parameterization Healthcare data knowledge and hands-on experience (medical claims data, clinical data, pharmacy data and eligibility data) Knowledge of ACO, bundles, episodes, etc. Statistical training (confidence intervals, power analysis, bootstrapping, regression modeling, etc.) Medical Economics and healthcare financial modeling experience preferred Ability to deliver on-time while managing multiple projects and navigate in a highly matrixed environment Problem solving and creating innovative solutions Additional Information

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be via cable broadband or fiber optic with speeds of at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload. Salary: anticipated to be 96,000 - 160,000 USD per year, depending on experience and location. This role may be eligible for an annual bonus plan.
