Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Level 5 Staff Cost Estimating Analyst to join our team in Melbourne, FL, or Saint Augustine, FL. The ideal candidate demonstrates a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities. Roles and Responsibilities : Supporting proposal activities with high levels of engagement and collaboration. Reviewing and analyzing RFP/Change Orders to determine costing requirements and goals. Developing compliant estimates according to company and government policies and procedures. Organizing and estimating initial ROM or cost targets for medium/large efforts. Preparing cost reports and presenting findings to management. Estimating labor and material costs based on RFP and change request data. Collecting cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors. Computing cost estimates and preparing historical cost data. Populating existing models with updated information and creating report-ready spreadsheet tables/graphs. Foreseeing and identifying potential problems and understanding their impacts. Reviewing Task Description/Basis of Estimate for compliance and adherence to program plans. Generating and maintaining proposal data files. Performing Regression Analysis and single variate CER equation development. Supporting customer Request for Information, fact-finding, updates, and corrective actions. Participating in contract negotiations and supporting customer audits. Pursuing problem-solving opportunities to improve the proposal process. Basic Qualifications : Level 5 (Staff): Bachelor's degree with 15 years of combined experience or a Master's degree with 13 years of experience in proposals, pricing, cost estimating, or business-related functions. Experience with statistical analysis and MS Office Suite. Experience with CAS, FAR, and DFARS government regulations. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications : Knowledge of aerospace production operation functions and experience with production proposals and estimating. Ability to create automation tools and persistence in meeting deadlines. Strong presentation skills and experience with technical and theoretical analysis. In-depth understanding of manufacturing and support labor.
