We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive

Cost Accountant

to support our client’s operations across both Plastic and Metal divisions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, inventory reconciliation, and cost analysis to drive informed decision‑making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting plant accounting functions, managing inventory and intercompany reconciliations, and contributing to budgeting and standard costing processes. This position offers the opportunity to work cross‑functionally with field personnel, auditors, and finance leadership to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

Reconcile inventory and balance sheet accounts for multiple manufacturing divisions. Perform month‑over‑month analysis of P&L and balance sheet accounts, providing insightful commentary to management. Support semi‑annual physical inventories and annual budgeting processes. Clear intercompany transactions and manage the GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) clearing process. Allocate revaluation impacts to plants based on PPV (Purchase Price Variance) days. Update CAP LOH reports with amortization and roll‑on schedules. Maintain and update standard costing, activity rates, and material setups in SAP. Collaborate with internal and external auditors and support ad hoc reporting and plant accounting projects. Key Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of purchase price variances (PPV) and capitalization of variances. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Willingness to travel 6–10 days annually. Ready to Take the Next Step?
