MG+M The Law Firm has an immediate opening for a Conflicts & Intake Assistant in Los Angeles, Irvine, Walnut Creek, San Francisco, O’Fallon, New Orleans, or Jackson offices. MG+M is a nationally recognized litigation law firm concentrating on complex civil matters, with expertise in toxic tort, complex product liability, local government, general liability, and commercial litigation.

Base pay range $40,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Conduct preliminary conflict checks and review conflict reports to identify potential legal and business conflicts of interest.

Understand the purpose of identifying conflicted clients and how to identify adverse parties.

Assist the national business intake team with daily creation of new client matters in the firm’s billing and tracking systems.

Review and verify client and matter information for accuracy and completeness before entry into the firm’s practice management system (Aderant Expert).

Coordinate with legal assistants and intake staff to gather necessary documentation, client identification, and billing details.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client onboarding and matter intake.

Generate reports and assist with audits or internal reviews related to intake and compliance.

Candidate Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

1+ years of conflicts experience in a law firm or professional services environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Attendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work and meetings on time; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.

Organization: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Customer service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.

Dependability: Follow instructions, complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines.

Teamwork: Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.
