KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a rapidly expanding, private equity-backed organization near Portland, Maine, seeking to hire a Sr. Financial Analyst to join their team to support financial forecasting, reporting and other FP&A related responsibilities. Our client has an established presence across multiple states in the Northeast and is growing rapidly through recent acquisitions, targeting another 4-5 acquisitions for 2025.
This Sr. Financial Analyst position offers broad exposure to FP&A, M&A, corporate strategy, and financial reporting, all within a lean, hands-on environment. You'll work directly with the Vice President of Finance and other senior leaders in shaping the company’s financial future. This is a hybrid friendly position.
Responsibilities For The Sr. Financial Analyst Support leadership on financial planning and analysis to drive key business decisions Provide detailed budget vs. actual reporting and variance analysis for SG&A cost centers Prepare financial models, forecasts, and strategic reports to assist in decision-making Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities, including data analysis and quality of earnings reviews Create compelling dashboards, presentations, and board materials that summarize financial performance and key metrics Lead project management efforts for acquisition candidates, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders Partner cross-functionally with executives and department heads to deliver insightful financial reporting and recommendations Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed by senior management Experience For The Sr. Financial Analyst Position Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration 4+ years of relevant experience in FP&A working for a PE Backed or large revenue sized organization Proven ability to analyze SG&A cost centers, deliver budget vs. actual reporting, and assist in risk analysis Advanced proficiency in Excel Experience working with mid-large ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, etc.) Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance audiences Compensation $85,000 - $100,000, dependent on experience + Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and 401K
