Cost Accountant I

Wabtec Corporation . You will be joining Wabtec, as a qualified Cost Accountant I, on our Finance Team. You will work with our Wabtec Bus Solutions Cost Accountant Manager performing daily cost maintenance in the ERP system, generating various Inventory reports, assisting with month-end close activities and account reconciliation tasks, and supporting yearly Standards updates and other related activities. Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Perform daily cost maintenance in ERP system; review current standard costs monthly against frozen standard costs. Report on large variations and review impact on product margins. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine effects on costs. Review bills of materials and routings for accuracy; prepare weekly/monthly labor efficiency reports and analyze routed hours to actuals. Generate weekly cycle count reports and monitor compliance with the ABC cycle counting program; maintain cycle count codes in the ERP system. Prepare inventory and cost month-end close journal entries; generate monthly inventory reports; update OneStream reports; maintain monthly inventory reconciliations. Support Physical Inventory auditing; assist in gathering material cost data and identify areas for cost-accuracy improvement; support yearly Material Standards updates. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.). Two to four years in related cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Computer Skills: Experience with ERP cost accounting (Oracle is preferred) and reporting systems. Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.). Experience with Power BI and OneStream applications is helpful. Physical Demands
In office Mon. – Fri.; use a computer for extended periods. Occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds; stand, walk, and navigate facilities. Must be able to work additional hours as necessary for month-end close; willing to spend time on the shop floor to understand the manufacturing process. Additional Information
