We are seeking a strategic and inspirational Financial Analyst II to join our dynamic team. The Financial Analyst II will provide critical financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support Build-A-Bear's financial planning and decision-making processes. This role is essential for maintaining financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Build and maintain financial models to forecast company performance Analyze past results and predict future performance Examine financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks Prepare detailed reports on financial performance Deliver insights to stakeholders through presentations and written summaries Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements Assist in the development of budgets and long-term financial plans Collaborate closely with key stakeholders Required Qualifications: 3-5 years of financial business experience Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field Expert in Excel Strong analytical and quantitative skills Basic understanding of financial systems and data Behavioral Traits for Success: Analytical, inquisitive, and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems Ability to anticipate potential issues Strong commitment to accuracy and timeliness Ability to thrive in a structured environment Confidence in decision-making within area of expertise Factual and sincere communication style Willingness to adhere to established policies and procedures Comfortable working at a faster-than-average pace Desire for continuous improvement Working Environment: Typical office environment with climate control and ergonomic furniture Hybrid work schedule Corporate Office located in St. Louis, MO Limited domestic travel Ability to lift over 25 pounds Performance Metrics: Your performance will be evaluated based on your ability to meet departmental and corporate goals, including but not limited to: Meeting deadlines with accuracy and quality Effective decision-making and judgment Clear communication of complex issues High-quality reports and actionable insights Variance resolution Effective use of technology Timely and accurate month-end reports Collaboration skills Budget recommendations Long-term forecasts Timely ad hoc reporting Stakeholder feedback
