Senior Accountant
SAPRO is looking for a Senior Accountant for a client in Austin, TX. The role will lead day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and consolidations in a multi-entity, acquisition-driven organization, supporting new acquisition integrations while driving operational efficiency and growth within a dynamic finance team.
Candidates must be based locally in Austin.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple business units.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements.
Assist with financial statement audits and external reporting requirements.
Partner with the VP of Finance to implement scalable accounting policies, internal controls, and best practices.
Support integration of newly acquired companies into the financial reporting structure, including onboarding systems and processes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and local management teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc financial analyses.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process and system enhancements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related field showing progressive growth, ideally including experience in a private equity–backed or multi-entity environment.
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and consolidation accounting.
Experience with acquisition accounting and integration strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
