Senior Accountant

role based in Rock Hill, SC. This position will be responsible for fixed assets, assisting with the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting business decision-making. The ideal candidate will contribute to variance analysis and assist in preparing presentation materials for board meetings. What You’ll Do

Manage and maintain the fixed assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations. Lead and coordinate month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare and review journal entries and maintain supporting documentation. Reconcile general ledger accounts, including detailed analysis and resolution of discrepancies. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation and review. Conduct variance analysis on key accounts, identifying trends, anomalies, and providing insights to management. Prepare and reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis. Support the preparation of board deck slides and presentations, ensuring accuracy and clarity of financial information. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data. Assist with audits, both internal and external, by providing schedules and documentation. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations. What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation (or progress toward it) is a plus. 2+ years of accounting experience preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles. Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
