Controllers

play a key role in measuring and accurately reporting the profitability of the firm's complex products, services, and businesses globally. Professionals in this area work with each of the firm's businesses, gaining expertise to provide critical analysis ensuring the accuracy of internal and external financial information and compliance with financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated, and public financial institution. Teams are responsible for profit and loss (P&L) reporting and analysis, independent valuation, capital analysis, and financial reporting. Professionals in this function have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity, and come from diverse academic backgrounds.

Corporate Controllers

are responsible for the firm's external and internal financial reporting, including earnings releases, SEC reporting, daily management reporting, legal entity reporting, fund accounting for investment funds, and compensation accounting. They ensure the integrity of financial information and that the firm meets the reporting obligations of a public financial institution.

Principal Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting packages, including fund-level net asset values and investor capital statements for private equity funds. Handle ad hoc reporting requests, management fee analysis, cash flow analysis, and support client audits and financial reporting inquiries. Prepare and record journal entries related to cash activity, investment transactions, currency exchanges, swap settings, debt payments, fund expenses, and investor contributions/distributions. Manage period-end close transactions, including valuation adjustments, foreign currency adjustments, accruals, and other related transactions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting. 3-10 years of experience, preferably in Public Accounting. Strong accounting skills, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and analysis. Proficiency in Excel, effective communication skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines consistently. Experience with debt and equity investments. Experience with private equity funds. Partnership accounting experience. Experience with foreign currency transactions. General ledger experience. Management experience in a team setting.
