WhiteWater Midstream
Overview
This position will be a member of the WhiteWater accounting department in Austin. Responsibilities include maintaining revenue recognition and ensuring accounting treatment aligns with customer contracts and applicable accounting standards. This role involves reviewing contracts, maintaining accurate revenue and gas volume schedules, and supporting financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in GAAP (especially ASC 606), experience working cross-functionally.
Responsibilities
Manage application of ASC 606 to customer contracts
Assist in implementation and maintenance of contract summary
Prepare and maintain annual maintenance and reimbursable invoices to customers
Prepare, lead and review monthly revenue accruals for all projects
Prepare price volume analysis fluctuation analysis by asset
Perform and review accounting reconciliation and on a timely basis
Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet
Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and perform initial review of G/L
Assist with technical accounting memorandums
Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed
Assist with special projects when they arise and are assigned
Qualifications
3-5 years relevant work experience
Public accounting or industry experience in energy/midstream
Strong analytical and research skills and ability to produce results under deadlines
Experience with revenue accounting and application of ASC 606
Ability to apply strong attention to detail and multi-task
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Quorum and/or NetSuite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
CPA or CPA eligible preferred
