Finance Sr Specialist
to join our Red Lion, PA commercial team. We take pride in supporting the mission of the warfighter by delivering the best, to the best. Our products can be found with every U.S. military branch and with allies around the world. We are looking for a motivated and creative leader to help shape and support our mission. Summary: Performs a variety of financial activities, including accounting, financial analysis, audit, tax, credit and collections. Develops and evaluates financial plans and policies. Establishes and maintains accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.
Major Position Responsibilities
Manages multiple financial functions in an organization
Establishes internal controls for monitoring assets, capital investments, controlling costs, and measuring liquidity Liaisons with senior leadership from accounting on matters of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements May summarize the financial status of the organization; interprets asset ratios, break-even analysis reports, profit margins, operating costs, stock value (if applicable), and other metrics used in measuring fiscal stability Communicates with operations, marketing, HR, IT, and other departments on matters of internal controls and/or budget approval and ROI for specific projects Prepares for audits and makes certain that financial reporting is completed properly, and that all documentation follows applicable regulations (including GAAP, FASB, or SEC mandates)
Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Associates Degree OR equivalent combination of relevent education and/or experience 5-7 years prior experience in a similar position Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS),
GAAP standards Knowledge of financial management principles, program planning, budgeting and practices Proficient in Microsoft Excel Financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment Data Science or Data Analytics tools Experience and use of IFS software Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of concepts, principles, practices and procedures of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface Strong written, digital and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environment Looks for ways to improve and promote quality Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize on the fly Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safety Operates under minimal direction and exercises moderate to independent judgment Decisions are guided by policy, procedures and business plan Account reconciliation Balance sheet analysis Bank reconciliation Calculate depreciation Financial accounting Financial reporting General ledger accounting Month-end close Quarter-end close Revenue recognition Spreadsheet intermediate Year-end close Accounting software Other Requirements: Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools Professional demeanor and presentation skills for frequent meetings, presentations Travel up to 25% of time The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
