The Senior Steam Turbine Generator Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing the inspection and maintenance methods, procedures and practices to insure the reliability of steam turbine generators system wide. Reporting to the Turbine Field Services Manager, you will provide consistent oversight of the systems turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems, through detailed inspections, outage management and detailed reporting and documentation. Your core responsibilities will be the effective planning and execution of Turbine Generator outages, proper specification of materials, and oversight of repair and replacement procedures is critical to maintaining reliability. Additionally, you’ll ensure effective coordination of the inspections with the facility, condition assessment reports, and communication of best practices is critical to reliability of these components. Responsibilities

Develop and execute TG Major and Minor Outage plans with Facilities. Ensure adequate and qualified inspection resources are available for all outages. Perform pre-outage planning risk reviews. Ensure proper QA/QC during TG outage disassembly and re-assembly through inspection, and developed hold points. Complete Turbine Generator Condition Assessment Reporting and Executive Summary for each outage, communicating the priorities, risk assessment, and recommendations to regional and senior management. Plan condition assessment review meetings with each facility. Ensure recommendations are consistent with future outage plans, 5-year plans and long-term economics. Communicate with the TFS Manager and Product Sourcing Manager required resources, parts and shop requirements. Ensure bid specifications are developed in a timely fashion to support procurement initiatives within the company. Review of all major TG replacement scopes and component design modifications with the TFS Manager and Senior Director of Maintenance. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that all parts and products are delivered on time and meet quality standards. Provide technical guidance and advice to facility management for unscheduled TG repairs and issues. Provide shop inspection coverage during major outages. Provide technical review on Turbine Generator Technical Standards, and periodically review and assess compliance by all facilities. Requirements

Safety leadership working skills. Technical report writing, presentation, organization and people skills. Motivated, self-starter with ability and tenacity to solve problems. Experience and proficiency reading and interpreting technical documents, manuals and mechanical drawings. High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (spreadsheets, modeling, and pivot tables), Outlook, and Word. Customer focused Ability to communicate effectively with management and employees at different levels of the organization, remotely or in an office setting. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, however candidates without a 4-year degree may be considered with equivalent experience in Turbine Generator operation, inspection, and maintenance or Project Management. At least 8 years of relevant experience in Steam Turbine Generator major overhauls, turbine operation, shop repair methodology, and field supervision of millwrights and machinists. For those without the 4-year degree, a minimum of 10 years of experience is required. Training in turbine control systems and experience in troubleshooting control related issues. Thorough understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Training/Experience in Root Cause Failure analysis and methods used to determine component failure mechanisms. Working knowledge of vibration theory and application. Working knowledge of NDE techniques and applications, e.g. UT/PA. Physical Demands

Operating in an facility environment with OSHA required PPE, safety training for areas including confined spaces. Job requires physical demands consistent with work in an industrial environment. Majority of work will be accomplished by traveling to facilities performing assigned tasks and supporting scheduled or unscheduled outages. Work Environment

This job requires frequent travel within the designated region, occasional off shift work and weekends for outage support. Travel estimate: 60-70% with facility-based work and some balance in the office. Benefits & Additional Information

The pay ranges for the primary location are listed as $132,618.00 (min) – $175,788.00 (max) per year, with eligibility for benefits including medical, prescription drug, vision, dental, 401(k), paid parental leave, paid time off, and paid holidays where applicable. Details may change based on experience, location, and business needs. Some roles may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or additional incentives.
