Summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to work out of our Richmond office. The Senior Project Accountant provides primary accounting and administrative support for construction projects from start-up through final closeout. Serves as the liaison between the job site and the finance department, ensuring all accounting standard operating procedures are followed at the job site. Responsible for activities related to contracts, bonds, insurance, payables, liens, billings, payroll, and cost/budget reports for the project management team.

Develops and analyzes value management options

Associates degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)

5 years of experience, preferably in the construction industry

Proficiency in basic accounting principles

Proficient in using personal computers and communication tools, including email, internet, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Experience

B.A. in Accounting

Construction accounting or AEC industry experience (strongly desired but not required)

10 years of experience

Local candidate preferred but not required
