Our client, a growing and dynamic organization in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a
Staff Accountant
to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a variety of responsibilities across the accounting cycle.
As a trusted recruiting partner, we are supporting our client in identifying a detail-oriented and adaptable accounting professional with a strong foundation in general accounting, financial analysis, and process improvement. This role will work closely with the Finance Director and leadership team to support key accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the monthly close process and ensure timely completion of closing activities Support the Finance Director in daily, monthly, and year-end financial operations and reviews Serve as a backup for both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including invoice processing, reimbursements, cash receipts, and revenue recognition Perform daily bank reconciliations and support cash management activities Assist with financial reporting, including Sales/COGS analysis, accruals, amortizations, and asset depreciation Prepare documentation and assist with external audits, tax filings, and compliance reviews Support inventory control and physical inventory processes Contribute to the preparation of borrowing base calculations and credit line draw requests Maintain item master data and pricing set-up Assist in insurance renewals, administrative compliance, and 1099 submissions Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement finance-related system enhancements Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to support company objectives Perform ad hoc duties and special projects as directed by the Finance Director or CEO
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls (GAAP knowledge required) Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; ERP system experience is a plus Ability to manage and interpret large data sets Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to work collaboratively across teams Process-oriented and capable of documenting and optimizing workflows Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry trends and accounting practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (manufacturing industry experience preferred) Proven teamwork and communication skills in a collaborative environment
