Position Summary: The Private Wealth Advisor’s primary responsibility is to serve as personal relationship manager to Busey Wealth Management clients. The Advisor will engage in proactive and ongoing communication with clients to build and maintain relationships and to develop a deep understanding of clients’ unique goals and objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage a designated book of Wealth Management clients ranging from high‑net‑worth individuals and families to institutional clients.
Coordinate with Investment Team, Financial Planning, Tax, Estate Planning, Portfolio Management, and Private Client banking services to create comprehensive financial strategies.
Act as primary relationship manager and actively pursue new business opportunities.
Administer accounts in compliance with firm policies and provide high‑level client service.
Complete mandatory account reviews and make consistent client recommendations.
Education & Experience Knowledge Of
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong sales and client service skills
Wealth Management Services including investments, financial planning, banking and trust concepts
A fiduciary approach to managing client relationships
Ability To
Develop and manage client relationships at an advanced level
Make independent decisions and respond timely to client needs
Partner with associates in a client‑focused manner
Analyze and interpret financial data and solve complex problems
Perform duties under frequent time pressures
Education and Training
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or commensurate wealth management or financial services experience with high net worth clients
CFP designation preferred
Must be in good standing with First Busey Corporation continuing education
Proficiency in Trust Accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
