We\'re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented
Bookkeeper
with strong accounting knowledge to support our Tax and Accounting teams. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys managing the details of financial records, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to helping clients succeed by maintaining accurate and compliant books. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
Maintain accurate financial records and bring books to trial balance stage Record monthly financial transactions and maintain the general ledger Reconcile bank and credit card statements Prepare periodic financial reports for clients Analyze and calculate sales tax; ensure timely payments Collaborate with the team for year-end financial preparation and audits Client Relations and Advisory
Communicate regularly with clients to gather necessary tax documents and financial information. Compliance and Reporting
Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Monitor and improve internal processes to increase efficiency and accuracy in bookkeeping workflows. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers Proficiency in Office Products Customer Service Orientation High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of tax procedures
and external financial reporting is preferred Strong working knowledge of
Microsoft Office Suite
(Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple client accounts Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Flexible availability during tax season , including
half-day Saturdays
from
February 1st to April 15th , as needed Proficiency in QuickBooks
(desktop and/or online) Canopy CRM software experience
is a plus English: Fluent Bilingual candidate preferred (English/Spanish) Education & Experience
Minimum
3 years of relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software like QuickBooks Proven bookkeeping and general accounting knowledge. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
