Job Details Immediate Senior Cost/Inventory Accountant , CPG Client, hybrid. Fast‑paced consulting role focused on inventory and cost accounting. Employment type: Contract. Seniority level: Senior. Job function: Accounting/Auditing and Finance.
Responsibilities
Perform detailed inventory analysis and maintain inventory accounting records.
Assist with cost reconciliation and ensure accurate cost capture.
Participate in month‑end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory and cost accounting.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
Prepare ad‑hoc reports and analyses as required by management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in cost/inventory accounting or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred.
Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze large volumes of data and derive insights.
Proficiency in inventory accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in all work.
Strong communication skills, effectively presenting complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
Proactive approach to problem‑solving and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
