Overview
The position is for a Full Stack Developer with Ruby on Rails experience. The role involves developing and maintaining software applications within agile and XP/lean practices, leveraging microservices and AWS cloud technologies, and contributing to product strategy and design. Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve multiple software applications. Own full stack development for software applications. Develop new features using acceptance test-driven development. Participate in pair programming methodologies. Build and maintain quality throughout the development cycle by writing automated unit, integration, functional, and UI tests. Work in small, cross-functional feature delivery teams to deliver end-to-end customer features. Develop and maintain API specifications using Swagger Editor. Develop new features using microservices. Develop API design approach using AWS cloud and open-source technologies. Participate in Extreme Programming methodologies. Participate in product strategy, design, and development activities. Use lean and agile work management and engineering practices. Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or commensurate experience and education). Experience/Skills
2-4 years of relevant professional experience. Proven full stack application development experience including front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS, React) and back-end technologies (Ruby, Java, Python) with database experience (Oracle and PostgreSQL). Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. 1+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails. Experience with Git-based repositories (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket). Ability to learn new technologies quickly and wear many hats. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Java Spring Boot. Experience with Python and Django. Experience with AWS cloud services. Experience with Cloud Foundry. Experience with React. Salary and Benefits
The likely salary range for this position is $103,000 - $150,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation and final pay is determined by factors including experience, skills, and contract provisions. Application Deadline
