Role: Vehicle Strength & Durability CAE Evaluation Educational Qualification: BE / B Tech (preferably Mechanical), ME / M Tech (preferably Mechanical Design or equivalent)
Responsibilities:
CAE Modelling – Mesh discretization, Assembly, Constraint & Load setting for automotive sub-systems, mainly Body & Chassis Structure & Closures.
Conduct Strength & Durability analysis – Linear & Non-Linear, Fatigue Analysis.
Interpret results, understand failure modes, and recommend countermeasures to meet performance criteria.
Document results and communicate with stakeholders – design, testing – for implementing failure countermeasures.
Collaborate with Testing teams to analyze failures, correlate CAE results with physical tests, and improve models.
Support generation and evaluation of Value Enhancement proposals.
Technical / Functional Skills:
Strong fundamentals in Strength of Materials, Machine Design, Fatigue.
Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and experience in Body Structures & Closures CAE domain.
Basic knowledge of Automotive Body & Sheet Metal Design.
Proficiency in Hypermesh, Nastran, FEMFAT, LS-Dyna, Hyperview software.
Experience with Fatigue evaluation tools like FEMFAT, MSC Fatigue, NCode, and Multibody software such as ADAMS is advantageous.
Familiarity with Optimization software like Optistruct, Mode Frontier.
Understanding of physical testing and its CAE representation.
Ability to suggest performance improvement measures.
