Virtual Desktop Engineer *TS/SCI Required*

TEKsystems is seeking a Virtual Desktop Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance, CompTIA Security+, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) experience to work on-site in Savannah, GA. This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting the Army Military Intelligence Command.
Responsibilities
Support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. Design, integrate, and troubleshoot VDI solutions; manage identity life-cycle and pursue process automation and improvement. Troubleshoot performance issues across the organization and optimize desktops for platform interoperability; serve as a liaison for VDI technologies. Provide endpoint support for Virtual Desktop related tasks and document operational integration of future technologies (and update as required). Maintain advanced knowledge of administration, engineering, and implementation of VDI technologies; operate across multiple, complex production environments with multiple stakeholders. Conduct trade studies and make recommendations on solutions and make/buy decisions. Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance and CompTIA Security+ required; one of the following certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DTM 2023) Citrix Certified Professional (1YO-204) Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP-MCI) Microsoft Exam AZ-140: Configuring and operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop Microsoft Exam SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator EX200 Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Education: Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience Experience and skills: Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, VMware administration, VMware Horizon VDI, BIG-IP F5 application delivery controller, Citrix Netscalers Engineering support for legacy and current VDI services; knowledge of Virtual Apps and Desktops provisioning Knowledge of Gateway and Secure Access Appliances (F5, Netscaler, etc.) Experience managing Thin Client endpoint devices (Dell, HP, 10Zig) Experience with virtual disk profile management services (Liquidware, FSLogix, Citrix Profile Management, VMware DEM) Experience troubleshooting Windows-based virtual desktop problems Ability to work remotely with management and team members Experience with Nutanix AOS on AHV, Nutanix Files, and Prism Central Familiarity with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) architecture Using profile disk management services and Microsoft FSLogix Using Liquidware Stratusphere UX to identify and resolve desktop performance issues Experience supporting customer training objectives and working with Active Directory/Group Policies Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
