Posting Information The Division of External Affairs, Partnerships, and Economic Development (EAPED) builds mutually beneficial relationships between NC State University and industry, government, and non-profit organizations; streamlines access to important resources to help existing and potential partners who want to work with the University; and aligns businesses and other organizations that are interested in relocating or expanding in North Carolina with University talent, research, and other assets. The Office of Partnerships, a unit within EAPED, actively manages more than 120 partnerships between NC State and industry, government, and non-profit organizations, with 70 of these partnerships based on the Centennial Campus. The Partnership Developer will support the ongoing development, promotion, and implementation of the University's partnership model by responding to inquiries from prospective corporate, government, and non-profit partners and developing and expanding strategic partnerships for the University. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Act as an account executive to recruit and retain corporate/government partners Meet regularly with assigned partners to enhance and expand partnerships and to create deeper connections and increased value Provide a seamless level of quality service from first contact throughout the partnership with the University When required, act as project manager on large-scale prospect and/or partner projects, appropriately engaging all relevant faculty, administrators, and college development officers Maintain database records on all prospects and partners to reflect and track the status of relationships, contact info, process updates, meetings, and tasks Learn and understand the needs of prospects and partners and how those fit with the strengths, interests, and capabilities of the University Maintain knowledge of NC State strengths, faculty expertise, equipment and lab facilities, student work programs, etc., and be in a position to communicate to partners and prospects about areas of connection and possible collaboration Understand the processes, tools, and models the industry uses to engage with NC State University and guide the interaction between the entities Represent NC State University and Centennial Campus to outside groups and organizations, such as economic development partners, industry associations, and community and government leaders and groups Make presentations and give tours to outside organizations and visitors Engage in events, advisory groups, and planning sessions as needed Prepare reports as requested on partner, prospect, and visitor activity Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Require post-baccalaureate credentials or a bachelor's degree plus alternative or equivalent professional training and experience may be substituted for the advanced degree on an exceptional basis. Other Required Qualifications Ability to understand technical information from multiple disciplines and represent that information across a variety of audiences (such as prospects, partners, and visitors) Strong written and oral communication skills Desire to be part of a team environment as well as work individually NC State University is an equal opportunity employer.
