Full-Time | Permanent Overview An established and rapidly expanding data center developer is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer specialising in hyperscale data center engineering to join its in-house team. This role offers a unique opportunity for professionals currently working in design consultancies to transition to the client side, gaining full lifecycle exposure and strategic influence over the development and delivery of mission-critical facilities. This position is ideal for engineers who are ready to move beyond advisory roles and take ownership of technical decisions, standards, and execution. Key Responsibilities Review and oversee mechanical and/or electrical design packages prepared by external consultants Collaborate with internal development and construction teams to ensure MEP systems meet project goals, cost benchmarks, and operational standards Provide technical input across the full project lifecycle including site assessments, concept development, detailed design, and commissioning Contribute to the development and refinement of scalable MEP design standards for repeated use across multiple sites Liaise with contractors, vendors, and commissioning agents throughout procurement and delivery Troubleshoot and resolve design or performance issues in a dynamic, uptime-critical environment Serve as a subject matter expert for mechanical or electrical systems such as cooling, power distribution, and backup infrastructure Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Minimum 8 years of MEP design experience in a consultancy, design-build, or contractor setting in the data center space.
