Coalition Coordinator

will possess a high degree of knowledge and desire to work with the community. The individual shall work to empower communities to promote alcohol and drug-free lifestyles. This individual will be responsible for performing outreach activities, implementing the program per contractual agreement, and making referrals when appropriate. In addition, the Coalition Coordinator will work to develop and implement strategies that will lead to long-term involvement of community institutions, organizations, and individuals in health promotion, assessment, and evaluation activities. The Coalition Coordinator must be professional, friendly, self-starter, organized, compassionate, and encourage healthy behaviors in youth, young adults, their families, and other adults. This position reports to the Community Prevention Manager. Essential Duties: Responsible for establishing the coalition and managing its operations. Recruit, establish, and maintain relationships with the 12 sectors in the community. Coordinate and facilitate substance use prevention education and one-time presentations to youth, their families, and community members in schools and community settings. Administer pre/post surveys to youth, adults, and community members who participate in the education sessions or in one-time presentations to identify the level of knowledge increased by participating in such presentations. Coordinate and facilitate coalition meetings, create meeting agenda, oversee steering committees, and promote collaboration and community engagement. Maintain records and sign-in sheets. Complete documents and reports daily/monthly as required per contractual agreement. Complete required trainings to include but not limited to curriculum training, substance use prevention presentations, Language of Caring, Cultural Competency, Terros Health Relias trainings, and other relevant in-person or webinar trainings. Responsible for outreach, planning, and hosting or cohosting alternative activities. Collaborate with other local organizations to participate in Tabling Events that promote community networking and awareness of prevention programs by disseminating prevention education material. Assist coalition members in conducting annual strategic planning and guide coalition to develop a comprehensive action plan on needs-assessment and strategic planning. Develop and publish content for online platforms. Manage social media strategy and tactics as part of overall information dissemination strategy. Meet with Prevention Manager regularly and/or Prevention Specialist to provide updates on activities and coordinate program implementation. Other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or GED, as well as a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling a minimum of Three (3) years or Bachelor's degree in any field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service delivery or Bachelor's degree in social service or related field. Highly preferred experience working with Community mobilization, initiatives, and youth. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. Experience in working with high-risk youth populations and community members preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook), social media (Facebook, Instagram), and Google docs/calendar. Able to become CPR/First Aid Certified within 60 days of assuming role. Flexibility and ability to work evenings and weekends if the Program Manager deems it necessary to achieve the objectives of the program. Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role. Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy. Must pass a TB Test.
