Overview As a Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE), you will partner with Client Managers to provide the technical Pre-Sales work for our Fortune 500 clients across all verticals. Our broad offerings include Infrastructure Modernization, Multicloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategy. With our Advanced Technology Center, you will have access to briefings, training, workshops, demos and PoCs to deliver best-in-class results for your clients.
What will you be doing? The Consulting Systems Engineer role in the Nashville, TN market will bring technical Pre-Sales experience to clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include participation in client sales meetings, presentations, white-board sessions and custom technical design work. You will team with local Client Managers to build client relationships, partner with multiple OEMs and take part in technical training to provide continued value. You are encouraged to learn about new areas and stay on the forefront of cutting-edge technologies. Travel up to 25% may be required.
Responsibilities
Aligns with WWT Sales team to represent Networking and Data Center expertise to assigned accounts.
Uses knowledge of technology, products and services to build Data Center solutions for customers.
Works with clients and WWT Sales team to identify technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives that map to Networking and Data Center opportunities.
Coordinate, deliver, and ensure quality of presales technology solution deliverables (configurations, architectural diagrams, proposals).
Manage and achieve a sales gross profit (GP) target.
Develop and foster relationships with strategic OEMs and data center partners local to your region.
Assist in Statement of Work and Proof of Concept review and development.
Ensure proposed solutions meet customer needs and functional requirements.
Demonstrate passion for networking/storage/server/virtualization solution strategies.
Maintain a strong presence and credibility with clients and internal teams.
Demonstrate knowledge of networking, storage, server, backup and virtualization hardware/software and architectures.
Certifications such as Cisco, Dell/EMC, NetApp, HP TSG and/or VMware are highly desired.
Qualifications
Candidates must live in and/or near Nashville, TN.
Experience supporting complex enterprise environments.
Solutions-oriented mindset with ability to leverage our portfolio of services and OEMs.
Strong experience in multiple disciplines: collaboration, data center connectivity including cloud, campus & branch connectivity, hyper-converged infrastructure, unified communications, wireless, security infrastructure (including next-gen firewalls).
Strong experience in data protection, compute, storage, virtualization is a plus.
Ability to understand a client’s business model and determine technical/resource requirements.
Experience with scoping Professional Services and Enterprise Solutions Statements of Work.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Excellent oral and written communication, product demonstration, customer service, and presentation skills.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Salary range: A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is $150,000 to $210,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on various factors.
