Overview
Coe College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Systems and Endpoint Administrator. This role provides technical support for Apple and Windows related hardware and software while ensuring timely problem resolution, system access and optimal system performance. The position is the campus-wide expert in Apple devices administration and works with other IT team members on projects and tickets related to wifi, classroom technology, faculty/staff devices, student devices and related needs. The Systems Administrator/Endpoint Administrator is also the primary provider of technical support for campus printers and cable TV, providing direct and indirect technology support and training to students, faculty and staff. Responsibilities
General Systems Administration/Endpoint Administration: provide technical support to faculty, staff and students regarding hardware, software, wireless connectivity, printers and other network and hardware related equipment and needs. Serve as the campus expert on Apple devices and work with Windows device management. Manage MECM/SCCM server for campus devices, GPOs and configurations aligned with security standards. Install Mac and Windows operating system software and applications, including imaging for campus computers. Configure and maintain Mac infrastructure (remote management, deployment, license servers, Mac print/file services on Windows AD with Kerberos). Troubleshoot desktop, laptop and software issues for faculty, staff and students. Provide iOS administration: install iOS OS software and apps, configure and maintain iPads/iPhones, manage Coe-purchased apps, and troubleshoot iOS software issues. JAMF software server administration, including installing/macOS software, configuring/maintaining JAMF Pro infrastructure (remote management, deployment, packaging software). Printer Support & Administration: install, set up and maintain campus printers and configure existing infrastructure. Assist in vendor/product selection for network hardware, software and services; create and maintain documentation; provide campus-wide tech support through on-call rotation; assist with campus-wide tech goals; perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years Apple and Windows administration experience in a professional environment; certification desired. Position Specific: Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting for Apple and Windows devices. Competency in Active Directory on Windows Server and configuring Windows and Mac operating systems. MECM/SCCM management experience. In-depth knowledge of Apple hardware troubleshooting, Apple OSX, iPadOS/iOS, and JAMF Pro. Knowledge of Windows Print Server on macOS; deploying Windows OS and software via images. Advanced repair skills for desktops, laptops, peripherals and printers; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; strong planning and organizational abilities; willingness to learn both Apple and Windows desktop support.
