In the role of Water Resources Designer / EIT, we'll count on you to support project engineers in the application of design engineering and modeling techniques for water resource projects at federal, state, and local levels. The focus includes hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater systems modeling, data collection and presentation, and related analyses. Responsibilities
Work under project engineers on the application of design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies Perform other duties as needed Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, CAD platforms (such as AutoCAD), and hydraulic modeling software Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of tasks An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of HDR\'s employee-owned culture EIT or the ability to obtain; candidates hired without their EIT will be titled "Water Resources Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT license for career progression What HDR Believes
