Litigation Counsel - Employment Practice Liability Position Overview McGuinness & Cicero, the Chubb Staff Counsel office, is seeking a seasoned litigation attorney with a strong background in Employment Practice Liability for our Tampa, Florida office. This role involves defending employment claims and general liability/casualty cases in Florida's state and federal courts on behalf of Chubb’s insureds. The ideal candidate will manage cases from inception through trial, including motion practice, discovery, investigations, pleadings, mediation, and appeals. Regular reporting and case evaluations to clients and claim examiners are also key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Full-file responsibility for assigned cases, including trial preparation and execution.

Defend employment claims and general liability/casualty cases.

Prepare detailed reports and evaluations for clients and claim examiners.

Engage in motion practice, discovery, investigations, pleadings, mediation, and appeals.

Work Location:

This position is located in Tampa, Florida.

Travel:

Required to handle cases across various jurisdictions within Florida.
