Job Summary

As a Probate Paralegal, you will handle a high volume of both uncontested and contested matters, including complex estates, fiduciary disputes, and multi-jurisdictional probate. This position is ideal for an individual who seeks to take their skills to the next level in an environment that encourages independence and supports work-life balance. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing probate and estate administration files from start to finish, excellent client service skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with attorneys, fiduciaries, and court personnel. Assist attorneys with all aspects of probate and estate administration, including initial intake, document collection, and docket tracking Prepare and file petitions for probate, notices, inventories, accountings, and fiduciary reports Draft correspondence to clients, courts, financial institutions, and government agencies Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner Maintain and monitor deadlines and task lists using the firm’s practice management software Coordinate publication of legal notices and obtain surety bonds where required Collect, value, and account for estate assets and debts; manage estate expense ledgers and distributions Assist with the preparation and filing of estate and inheritance tax returns (if applicable) Work with real estate professionals to transfer or sell estate property Maintain organized electronic and physical files in compliance with firm procedures Support litigation attorneys in contested probate matters as needed Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as a probate or estate administration paralegal in a law firm setting Strong understanding of probate procedures, rules, and terminology Familiarity with state-specific probate laws and local court requirements High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software (e.g., Actionstep, Clio, or equivalent) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines Experience working directly with clients in a compassionate and professional manner Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree, or paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program About The Company
