About the Role As a
Cardiology Monitor Technician
in our Electrophysiology and Device department, you'll provide critical technical and administrative support to ensure efficient delivery of Holter and event monitoring services. You'll work closely with the team lead and department manager to ensure high-quality cardiac data review, timely reporting, and exceptional patient support.
This role is ideal for someone with strong ECG interpretation skills, a passion for cardiac monitoring, and a desire to contribute to a growing electrophysiology team.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Monitor Setup & Patient Education
Perform Holter and event monitor hook-ups and patient instruction
Ensure proper lead placement and patient understanding of monitor use
Monitor Surveillance & Scanning
Monitor alert notifications and triage critical abnormalities to medical staff
Scan and interpret monitor data, editing and preparing reports for provider review
Maintain awareness of various cardiac monitoring devices and platforms
Documentation & Reporting
Document patient interactions and results in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Prepare accurate reports for cardiologists and follow departmental protocols
Equipment Oversight & Billing Support
Maintain monitor inventory and ensure devices are cleaned and charged
Assist in billing workflows for monitoring services
Team Collaboration
Participate in cross-training and support other clinic locations as needed
Assist with new staff training on equipment and protocols
Contribute to clinic operations and quality improvement efforts
What You'll Need to Succeed Required:
High school diploma or GED
6+ months experience in telemetry, device monitoring, or cardiac rhythm analysis
Strong working knowledge of ECG rhythm recognition (basic and advanced)
BLS/CPR certification (active)
Must obtain
Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT)
certification within 2 years of hire
Preferred:
Prior experience with Holter scanning, cardiac monitors, or device clinics
Certifications such as CRAT,
CCT ,
CVT , or
CCDS
( starting pay is higher for certified candidates)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work Environment
Location:
3920 Capital Mall Dr SW, Suite 203, Olympia, WA 98502
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM
Closed weekends and holidays
In-office, outpatient cardiology clinic setting

With CRAT/CCT/CVT/CCDS Certification
: $28.06 – $38.82 per hour
Without Certification (entry-level)
: $24.06 – $34.84 per hour
