A large and prestigious business management firm is seeking a
Senior Staff Accountant
to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:
The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing data, and providing insights to support decision-making within the Business Management department. The ideal candidate will collaborate directly with divisional leaders, lead client meetings, and have extensive experience in
Financial and Tax Accounting . You will serve as a key contributor to the team, possess advanced knowledge of accounting principles, and demonstrate excellent analytical skills. The candidate should be a team-oriented leader who partners effectively with all project stakeholders. Key duties include: Overseeing financial statement preparation and analysis Supervising accounting processes and procedures Managing and reconciling general ledger accounts Reviewing and approving journal entries Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations Assisting in budget preparation and financial forecasting Preparing tax packages Providing guidance and support to junior staff Leading client meetings Developing and implementing financial controls Analyzing financial data and preparing reports for partners Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions Collaborating with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency Communicating effectively with government agencies regarding client tax notifications Reviewing and correcting financial statements and general ledgers Qualifications:
Experience with AgilLink Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting Experience with financial modeling and forecasting Understanding of GAAP Competency in reading and recording brokerage accounts Ability to work with complex financial data and perform analysis Knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial reporting requirements Ability to prepare client meeting packages Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations Education and Experience:
At least 4 years of accounting and business management experience BSc/BA in business management, accounting, finance, or related field; MSc/MA, CFP, or CPA is a plus Extensive knowledge of CCH systems Understanding of GAAP Advanced knowledge of Entity and Individual Income Taxation Payroll knowledge Entertainment industry experience is a plus Benefits:
