The Trust Company provides financial planning, investment and fiduciary management services for groups of clients, who are assigned to individual Trust Officers and Wealth Advisory Teams. The Trust Company provides expertise for the following fiduciary client relationships: revocable and irrevocable trusts, discretionary investment management accounts, court-appointed Executorships and Conservatorships, qualified retirement plans, IRAs, corporate cash management accounts, and charitable foundations.
Primary Accountability:
The Trust Officer is responsible for:
Primary Relationship Manager for Personal Trust and Wealth Management Clients .
Client Service focuses : Communication, execution and monitoring of each Client’s Financial Plan, Estate Plan and Investment Portfolio Objectives, Client service and communications, and coordination with each Client’s legal and tax advisors.
Plan and conduct periodic meetings with current and prospective clients using stimulating and action-focused Agendas that generate solutions to address fundamental and crucial Client objectives and develop new insights regarding clients’ evolving life-situations and goals.
Build and maintain deep relationships with Clients.
Identify, qualify and cultivate prospective Client relationships to grow new business.
Achieve goals set by leadership for proactive contacts with current and prospective Clients.
Achieve goals set by leadership for new client relationships and business growth (sales).
Participate in client meetings in a technical and/or support role as needed with other Advisors.
Enhance professional networks through participation in community, professional and civic organizations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Business, Finance, Economics or a related field is required.
J.D., CFP or other relevant industry designation or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
Minimum of Three (3) years’ industry relevant experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Proven commitment to exceptional Client service.
Strong written and verbal communication and grammatical skills.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of The Trust Company.
Strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects.
Ability to work both independently and in team settings to show flexibility and versatility.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through both verbal and written skills.
Ability to manage a variety of tasks and prioritize individual workload responsibilities.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and activities on a routine basis with minimal supervision.
Ability to effectively present information in various formats such as one-on-one or small groups.
Ability to learn additional software applications.
Ability to self-motivate and thrive in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
Ability to work with strict confidentiality requirements, as well as applying good judgment in the preparation and distribution of confidential information.
Ability to apply independent judgment and discretion to create, modify, and/or monitor projects to best meet the needs of clients as well as program objectives.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to read computer screens, mail, e-mail and talk on the phone.
Ability to unpack and move supplies up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
