We\'re looking for a detail-oriented, systems-minded Quality Manager to lead Epogee’s Quality team—focusing on regulatory compliance, external partner management, and expanding research on EPG. This role is essential to ensuring our ingredients, packaging, and finished products meet all internal standards and external regulations. You’ll collaborate closely across R&D, manufacturing, and sales to ensure that our quality systems scale with the complexity of the business. You will report directly to the General Manager and work tangentially with all company partners. Responsibilities
Partner & Manufacturer Coordination Plan, schedule, and perform supplier and manufacturer audits (U.S. and international), including documenting findings, issuing reports, and tracking Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to closure. Qualify new suppliers for ingredients and products by evaluating quality systems, production capabilities, and compliance with company and food safety standards. Maintain and proactively manage supplier documentation (approved supplier lists, regulatory certifications, audit records) to ensure timely updates and renewals. Partner with manufacturing sites to verify adherence to product specifications, quality control procedures, and regulatory requirements. Regulatory Support
Contribute and lead U.S. and international regulatory processes, including GRAS filings and product registrations, by preparing and reviewing technical and compliance documentation. Support regulatory activities for new product launches and existing product maintenance, including ingredient review, nutrition labeling, and claims validation. Assess risk and compliance implications with submissions. Maintain awareness of global food regulations (e.g., FSMA, FDA, EU, Codex, Prop 65) and advise internal teams on compliance implications. Systems Building
Identify and mitigate quality or regulatory risks for current and new SKUs, implementing preventative controls and process improvements. Draft, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training guides to support quality and regulatory compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure traceability, specification management, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle. R&D & Product Development Support
Coordinate with R&D, Marketing, and Communications to align on testing, data collection, and technical claims that reinforce the safety and performance of EPG. Facilitate product and ingredient testing to support regulatory submissions, customer requirements, and marketing claims. Expand and Synthesize Research and Literature on EPG
Maintain and update a centralized library of scientific literature, regulatory filings, and technical data on EPG; identify gaps and propose new studies to strengthen safety and performance evidence. Translate complex research into clear, actionable insights for internal teams, customers, and regulatory submissions, including white papers, briefs, and presentations. Labeling & Compliance Verification
Review and approve product labels, artwork, and specifications to ensure compliance with all applicable labeling laws and brand standards. Monitor and verify ongoing supplier compliance with regulatory requirements through periodic audits, document reviews, and performance metrics. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field. 2+ years of experience in food safety, regulatory compliance, or supplier qualification in the food, beverage, or supplement industry. Familiarity with food safety and regulatory frameworks (FDA, USDA, CFIA, FSMA, HACCP, SQF, Prop 65). PCQI / HACCP certification. (Preferred) Experience working with documentation and regulatory tracking systems. Ability to interpret international food regulations and translate them into actionable company processes.
