RESPONSIBILITIES: Install and terminate wiring to pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems Install connectors, connector pins, terminals and lugs Perform continuity checks, locate and correct wiring errors using measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and voltage calibrators Perform work in support of fellow technicians and engineering employees using shop assembly equipment and hand tools Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED Professional experience working with instrumentation such as transducers, accelerometers, and thermocouples PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Experience with ISO 9000 standards 2+ years of professional, hands-on experience working with launch site instrumentation Previous SpaceX launch site work experience Professional experience working in a clean room Previous experience with surface-mount technology Ability to rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment Aptitude for learning basic direct current electrical theory Ability to work with design engineers to develop and document various set-up procedures Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station background check Ability to work any shift required Willingness to travel Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, team environment Ability to lift heavy objects is required (35 lbs) Ability to work at elevated heights Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments – heat, cold, rain Ability to work in small spaces as flight hardware is typically built in tight quarters and physical dexterity is required ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
