We are seeking an

Assistant Port Engineer

to assist with maintenance and overhauls (VRA & ROH) of US Government owned vessels, under the supervision of a lead Port Engineer. Candidates should have at least two (2) years of experience in the US maritime industry, either shore-side or shipboard. A US citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required. Responsibilities

Assist with fleet projects such as TRANSALT development. Monitor and analyze ship performance. Support IMS documentation, implementation, and improvement. Assist with marine engineering projects including overhauls and repairs. Understand overhaul requirements and assist in preparing work specifications and cost estimates. Ensure regulatory compliance and vessel management. Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Minimum one year as a Port Engineer managing shipyard dry-dock projects valued at least three million dollars. Experience aboard Government or commercial ships of at least 4,000 HP as a Chief, First, or Second Assistant Engineer. At least five years of combined education and experience managing complex ship repair projects. An engineering degree (Marine Engineer, Marine Architecture, Mechanical Engineering). Experience in shipyard management or serving as a Port Engineer on government or commercial contracts. Military experience performing duties similar to a Port Engineer. Additional Details
