Hepburn and Sons LLC Overview As the Fire Control Systems Technician working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will provide Fleet Technical Assistance. You will interpret shipboard technical documents to assess, repair, and document equipment deficiencies. This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer. Responsibilities Provide technical support for evaluating and correcting fleet system/equipment casualties, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic Combat Systems casualty repairs according to the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) and fleet requirements. Assist with other systems as needed. Perform problem analysis, troubleshooting, isolation, correction, and checkout testing to restore equipment to full operational condition. Perform system/equipment troubleshooting and evaluation tasks, including providing distance support, utilizing hardware and software expertise, providing logistics support, completing Technical Assistance Visit Reports, researching departures from specifications, and utilizing government software systems for problem tracking and system analysis. Assess and maintain shipboard systems and equipment, including training in maintenance and overhaul processes. Participate in operational assessments during various readiness and inspection programs, including system evaluation, troubleshooting, and logistics support. Perform Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) tasks such as reviewing logistics documentation, assisting in parts tracking, and supporting configuration management. Qualifications High School Diploma Minimum of three years in the last seven in either mechanical or electrical disciplines, with experience in Fleet Technical Assistance, assessment, and logistical support of U.S. Navy ships’ Fire Control Systems. Secret level DoD clearance. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge of Maintenance and Material Management (3M). Ability to obtain a 10-hour OSHA Maritime Employment Course completion within 60 days. Willingness to travel up to 25%. Ability to work aloft, in confined or secure spaces, and exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and perform stooping, climbing, and prolonged standing. Seniority level
