This position is responsible for analyzing work flows and understanding policies, procedures and constraints in the Access and Revenue business areas: access, billing, and claims supported by the EPIC application. The role participates in the application build, test, and support. Responsibilities
Responsible for analyzing work flows and understanding policies, procedures and constraints in Access, Revenue, billing, and claims supported by the EPIC application. Performs in-depth and precise investigation and documentation of business operational specifications and application functionality. Participates in the application build, test, and support. Qualifications
Education/Experience: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare informatics or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in an operational area that is impacted by the Epic implementation, with two (2) years of which are in Epic application build, test and support. L Pharmacist/Certification Requirements: Current active certification in specific EPIC product(s) or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire. Failure to obtain and/or maintain certification will result in termination of employment. Additional Position Requirements Must have one of the Epic Certifications at the time of hire: Resolute Hospital Billing and Claim Epic HIM Certification 1+ years of experience with HIM Coding Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare informatics or a closely related field Epic application implementation experience Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Physical Requirements
Knowledge:
Knowledge of business workflows to achieve strategic outcomes for the implementation; healthcare information systems; processes and workflows in business operations settings in access, revenue, billing, and claims applications; advanced computer skills; change management; project management and analytical techniques; applicable laws, codes and regulations; standard office practices; records management; safety and patient rights. Skill in:
Explaining complex technical concepts to end users; independent judgment in workflow design and problem solving; developing and implementing goals, policies, procedures, and work standards; change management; staff development and training; analytical and programmatic work; troubleshooting hardware/software; instructing staff on EHR applications; communicating with diverse audiences; building professional relationships; safe and efficient use of equipment. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical office setting, stamina to remain standing for long periods, vision to read materials and use a computer, hearing and speech to communicate; ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally or frequently as needed.
