Overview
Capstone IT Staffing is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our clients team. This is a full-time, onsite role in Omaha, Nebraska that requires 5 days per week in office. This range is provided by Capstone IT Staffing. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr We are unable to provide contract or sponsorship opportunities at this time for this role. Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain complex ETL pipelines using tools like Informatica, DataStage, or DBT, and adapt them as business requirements evolve. Map source data to warehouse models, perform data quality checks, and resolve data issues early in the development cycle. Troubleshoot issues, manage code deployments, and provide rotational on-call support to maintain stable, high-performing systems. Contribute to dimensional and relational data modeling, source-to-target mappings, and performance tuning. Partner with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet operational and strategic needs.
Technical Skills
7+ years in data engineering, including ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, DBT, etc.) 5+ years SQL programming 5+ years Python or Shell scripting 5+ years developing or deploying cloud-based solutions (AWS preferred) Strong background in data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field with 5+ years of experience in an enterprise level environment Experience in the insurance industry is helpful but not required. Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
