Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school; foreign graduates may apply with a permanent certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates
Current medical license in the U.S., D.C., or Puerto Rico
Eligibility for board certification
At least one year of approved graduate medical internship
Training in pulmonary medicine
Age between 21 and 42 (waivers possible)
