Position Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of our organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with leadership, assist in managing financial reporting, and help implement best practices in accounting and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting. Help manage accounts payable/receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, aligning financial goals with business objectives. Perform detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for cost control and efficiency improvements. Ensure internal controls are in place to maintain the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations. Support the Controller in cash management and financial planning activities. Assist with tax compliance and preparation of related filings. Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process and provide requested documentation. Assist in improving financial processes and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of accounting or finance experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes. Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners.
This role is on-site every day near Akron, Ohio and offers $85,000 to $95,000 based on experience.
